The Artist

Ghiglieri
A multi-generational sculptor shaped by apprenticeship, travel, close observation and a lifelong study of the masters.
Laran Ghiglieri learned sculpture through an extended apprenticeship with his father, sculptor Lorenzo Ghiglieri. Over more than two decades, that training combined studio discipline with exposure to museums, historical sites, wildlife and cultures far beyond the classroom.
He developed an independent body of work across bronze and painting, with particular attention to Western American history, wildlife, patriotic subjects, athletes and monumental commissions. His approach is narrative: anatomy and technique serve the larger task of capturing a decisive moment.
Today his work continues a Ghiglieri family tradition while remaining distinctly his own—research-driven, energetic, technically ambitious and grounded in stories meant to be experienced in three dimensions.
